Opening Hours

Term Hours : Mon-Fri 8.50-20.00, Sat 8.50-18.00
Vacation Hours : 8.50-16.30, Sat8.50-12.00
Closed periods : Sundays, National Holidays,
Matriculation ceremony, College Founding Day,
College Festival, Graduation Ceremony etc.

LendingPolicy

Undergraduates Books 20 2 weeks
Periodicals 3 2 weeks
Graduates Books 30 4weeks (except for items of new books section for 2 weeks)
Periodicals 5 2 weeks

Remember to return or renew the book by the due date.
Current issues of periodicals and newspapers are non-circulating.

Returning Items

You may return items either in person at the circulation desk or by post to a book return box. Book return boxes are located inside and outside the library. The outside is available when the library is closed.

Renewing Policy

Items that you have on loan can be renewed from 7 days prior to the due date, provided that someone else has not reserved them and you do not have overdue ones. There are three ways to renew:

  • Online through your library account by using the Log in option (OPAC).
  • By using the Self-issue Machine in the Library
  • At the Circulation Desk in the Library

Reserving books

If the book you want is already on loan to another library user, you can reserve it as follows;
You will be notified by email when the book is available for you, or you can check on the Main Catalogue by choosing the Login option (OPAC). Reserved books will be held for 3 days.

Overdue Penalty

Please return library materials by the due date or you will not be allowed to use any services and facilities of the library during delay.

Photocopying

Self-service photocopiers are located in the magazine room. Colour copying is available. Under Japanese copyright law, you may make one copy of a book, but only up to half of any book, for your own study and research.

Booking a Audio Visual Booth

GWC Library has 18 audio visual booths as the equipment to view audio visualmaterials. You will need your library card or student ID card whenever you want to use a booth.
